Coneflower felt like a chance to zoom in and get a little wild with color and texture. Playing with the mix of purples, pinks, and reds on the petals brought a sense of energy, while the thick brushstrokes on the yellow-orange center gave the flower a bold heartbeat. I liked the way the green stem stands firm against a lively red and teal background—it’s like the flower has its own little stage, ready for a show. There’s something about working with acrylic that lets textures come to life, and with this one, I wanted to capture that spirited close-up moment when every petal seems to hum with its own personality.
